HAU-USC leads the Black Wednesday on campus

The Holy Angel University- University Student Council (HAU-USC) leads the Black Wednesday on campus in commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of Martial Law (ML) today, September 21.

The USC is present around the campus this morning with their handheld paper bags with Anti-Martial Law statements such as “Never Forget,” “Defend the Truth,” “Ali na pasibayu” and “Defend History.” Alongside, they initiate the tying of black ribbons to students who want to join the commemoration.

According the USC president Erron Hernandez, the black ribbons symbolize a “physical reminder of Martial Law.”

Meanwhile, the USC posted on its Facebook page yesterday, September 20, stating “On Wednesday we wear black” to observe Black Wednesday in lieu of the ML anniversary.
