On September 8, 2023, thousands of Kapampangan Catholic devotees congregated at the Pampanga Provincial Capitol grounds in San Fernando to mark the 67th anniversary of the Canonical Coronation of the image of the Virgen Delos Remedios.

The re-enactment of the canonical coronation of Virgen Delos Remedios, serves as a commemoration for the Kapampangan to their province’s patroness.

In this year’s celebration, the Holy Redeemer Vicariate, a group of parishes around Candaba, Mexico, and San Luiz within the administration of the Archdiocese of San Fernando, Pampanga, was chosen to host the canonical coronation in line with the theme: “Kalupa mung mikapnuan king grasya, abayan mu kaming mangapmu mu naman king grasia.”

Next year, the Vicariate of St. John the Beloved will host the 68th Anniversary, according to the announcement made by Archbishop Florentino Lavarias at the mass.
