‘Be extra vigilant’ amidst cases of stomach flu — AC LGU

Following reports of alleged stomach flu cases in the city, the Angeles City Local Government Unit (AC LGU) urges its residents to take precautions to curb the spread of the said disease.

In a release by the Angeles City Information Office (CIO) on February 4, Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. reminds the public to “be extra vigilant, ensure cleanliness of surroundings, and the quality of food that will be consumed.”

Meanwhile, water sources across Angeles City will be inspected starting on February 5 as part of the locality’s effort to contain the cases of stomach flu.

As of date, the city has yet to disclose the figures of those who are affected by the said illness.

Stomach flu, or gastroenteritis, is a viral condition that can be acquired from the consumption of contaminated food or water, or through contact with an infected individual. Common symptoms of this include diarrhea, vomiting, and fever, as added by Angeles CIO.
