SBA Alumna among 16 finalists for 2023 HGML

Jhozeld Rhyza Turla, a former Holy Angel University student and recipient of the 2023 Most Outstanding Management Accounting Student, is among the top 16 finalists for the “Mga Huwarang Mag-aaral ng Gitnang Luzon 2023” based on a published Facebook post of TOSP Region 3 Alumni Community of Heroes (R3ACH) on September 15.

The 2nd “Huwarang Mag-aaral ng Gitnang Luzon” is an independent awarding program by R3ACH that aims to recognize graduating students of the school year 2022-2023 for their excellence in academia, leadership, and commitment to serving the people.

“Lahat ng aking nakamit at makakamit ay hindi lamang para sa akin kung hindi para sa atin. [Everything I have achieved and will achieve is not only for me but for us.] My dear Holy Angel University, Angelites, and Dolphins, this award is for us.” says Ms. Turla when asked about the significance of the recognition to the Angelite community.

Additionally, Ms. Turla stated that she hoped to motivate the Angelite community to put in their best efforts and welcome the many chances that might come their way with courage and trust.

“Inspiring our students to offer their talents and abilities in order to benefit the neighborhood and its residents is something I am grateful to do,” Ms. Turla said.

Aspirants like Ms. Turla were required to complete a posted nomination kit on the page of R3ACH, which included the general guidelines of the award, information about the eligible field of specialization for nominees, a nomination file document, and a corresponding checklist.

They also submitted a recommendation letter, video essays, transcript of records, and certificate of good moral character for evaluation of the selection committee.

Finalists will be attending a culminating weekend for interviews

and assessments to determine who will be regarded as the “Huwarang Mag-aaral ng Gitnang Luzon” this October.
