HAU: Online instructions to push through this August

After series of college consultative meetings, the Holy Angel University administration along with the University Student Council, College Student Councils, College Publications and The Angelite once again held a zoom video conference tackling the teaching platforms to be implemented this coming semester for the Academic Year 2020-2021.

The university plans to push online classes this August, instead of July 15, as the first day of online instruction using Canvas application. The recently issued enrollment schedule for college and basic education department will still push through according to the assigned dates provided by the university.

The marketing office will release a video instruction on how to enroll, giving the students three possible choices; online enrollment, telephonic enrollment, and in-campus enrollment once the government allows in-campus activities.

On mass testing and school opening

“Pinag-uusapan din namin yan. Wala pang kasiguraduhan. Ire-require ba ng government, gagawin ba tayong testing area and kits galing sa government, basta everything is on the table at this point…foremost ang health ng estudyante”, stated Mr. Robert Tantingco, Vice President for Student Affairs and Services when asked about the concerns of CSC-SBA to conduct mass testing before the opening of classes.

The first semester is set to begin in August and ends in December, although the school opening is yet to be determined as it will be in accordance with the policy of the government.

The university is yet to finalize these resolutions presented in the meeting.

This is a developing story.
