As the sixth department to hold the consultative meeting with the university administration, the School of Nursing and Allied Medical Sciences (SNAMS) alongside its student council and publication, The Lifeline with the University Student Council (USC) and The Angelite tackled the brief hiatus of the graduation ceremony of the batch 2019 – 2020.
“They deserve the real graduation rites,” said Mr. Robby Tantingco, Vice President for Students Affairs and Services.
The university was said to conduct graduation ceremonies for those students who were scheduled to graduate this summer as soon as the Enhanced Community Quarantice (ECQ) has been lifted.
SNAMS Virtual Laboratory
“Ang virtual lab ay nasa exploratory stage yan. We have to determine the best stimulation na gagamitin na akma sa program”, said Dr. Al Biag, SNAMS Dean when asked about the virtual laboratory classes of the SNAMS students.
With primary, secondary, and tertiary learning outcomes, Dr. Biag assures to prioritize the primary learning outcome as these are the main focus of the program and can’t be jeopardized.
Canvas being the prime application to be used for online learning, Mr. Noriel Calaguas, incoming Nursing Chairperson, said that all the faculty of the department have participated on the online sessions of Canvas.
Each department is expected to create a visual tutorial on how the canvas application works for the students to familiarize with the application once the online classes starts.
The university once addressed the issue of connectivity and assert to strengthen the WiFi connection in the campus for students to download all the files needed and can work at home even if offline.
The university is yet to finalize the resolutions presented in the consultative meeting.
