A stand-off ensued between locals from Mawaque Maragul, Brgy. Mawaque, Mabalacat City, Pampanga against armed men allegedly sent by Hausland Development Corp (HLDC).
The armed security men, from Seraph Security, are accompanied by individuals who are surveying the land in the disputed community which prompted the residents to fight back.
“Nananahimik kami ginugulo ninyo kami, sukat ‘yan, hindi kami mga tanga. Kayo mga may pinag-aralan, bakit hindi kayo nakakaintindi?”, a resident says in a live broadcast from the Workers Alliance Region III (WAR-III).
The residents also demanded the armed individuals to show a land title to back up their claims on their land. They later on retreated from the heated stand-off against the residents.
One of the leaders in the community was also threatened that he will be arrested during the commotion.
